The TU-154 modernization program

The Avialeasing Company carries out an upgrade program for theTU-154 types.

 

Tupolev-154B-2

 

Modernization

 

  1. Overhaul
  2. Increase of seating capacity from 164 to 166 seats, 3 types of converting (134/151/166 seats) allows to unify the passenger cabin of TU-154B2  with the one of TU-154M type
  3. Installation of navigation complex KLN-90
  4. Equipping with engines, APU, units and components
     

Engines

Turbo-jet engines NK-8-2U (3 x 10500 kN)

 

Noise level meets the requirements of Chapter 3 ICAO.

 

Flight crew – 4.

Takeoff weight – 100t.

Max payload – 19t.

Cruising speed – 950 km\h.

Range with max payload (with fuel reserve) – 3 000 km.

A takeoff field required (ISA, at sea level) – 2 500m.

 

Tupolev-154M

 

Modernization

  1. Overhaul
  2. Installation of a full equipment set for international routes:
    -          KLN,
    -          station oxygen system for passengers and crew members,
    -          RVSM system,
    -          GPWS,
    -          Emergency radio beacons ARM-406,
    -          TCAS. 
  3. Equipment with the engines and APU with full L.B.O.
  4. Installation of sound-absorbing constructions.
  5. Fuel consumption reduction due to winglets of new construction installation. Tip vortex minimizing allows to raise an aerodynamic quality. The tests showed that with the payload of 14t and the range of 5 000 km the fuel consumption was reduced by 1 ton.  With 2 000 hours of annual flight time, the economy of fuel makes 100 tones per year.


  6. Construction improvements to increase of commercial load capacity: light floors of honeycomb structure (“Hexel” company). This innovation helps to reduce the weight of floors and to increase the commercial load capacity by 630kg.

Modernization

 

  1. Overhaul
  2. Conversion to a freighter:
    -          cargo door on the left side, opening upside (2.8m x 1.87 m),
    -          cargo cabin of 27.5m length , 3.57 m width, 2.02 m height,
    -          roller tracks throughout the length of the cargo cabin.
  3. Installation of full equipment set for international routes:
    -          KLN,
    -          RVSM system,
    -          GPWS,
    -          Emergency radio beacons ARM-406,
    -          TCAS. 
  4. Equipment with the engines and APU with full L.B.O.
  5. Installation of sound-absorbing constructions.
  6. Fuel consumption reduction due to winglets of new construction.
