The Avialeasing Company was founded in 1996. It is an independent financial structure specializing in aircraft lease. The Company’s main line of business is the TU-154 aircraft lease. Highly qualified professionals are working for Avialeasing - “the pioneers” of the Russian aircraft leasing. Previously with the help of our specialists TU-204 new generation aircraft was designed.

Since 2002 the Avialeasing Company has successfully been using the scheme of the TU-154 long-term lease.

Taking into account the Russian air companies’ demand for aircraft, lack of their financial capacities, Avialeasing decided to expand its business activity on the market by modernizing the TU-154B which are the most demanded by Russian airlines on domestic routes. Nowadays in Russia about 30 TU-154B aircraft (including export airplanes) are leased.  

The specialists of the Avialeasing Company worked out a new organizational-financial scheme of aircraft delivery, which is rather new for Russia, making the procedure of airplanes acquisition easier and considering the Russian airline activity specifics. 

Today Avialeasing successfully implements the program of a civil air fleet upgrading, mainly the TU-154 aircraft that includes:

-          entry into service of an overhauled aircraft;

-          radio-navigation systems, engine and airframe improvement;

-          cabin modification.

This program opens new and safe prospects for the equipment that was given an honorary title “nation-wide”.

Nowadays there are more then a dozen of leasing companies working with aircraft and aviation engines in Russia. At present the major companies operating in lease, sale, consulting, and aircraft maintenance are the following:

- Ilyushin Finance Co.(founded in 1999): the main business line is the lease of Russian new generation civil airplanes;

- VTB-Leasing. Formerly the company leased equipment for SSJ100 aircraft building at KnAAPO. Recently VTB-Leasing signed an agreement on SSJ100 aircraft purchase with the Armavia airlines.      

- Alfa-Leasing was setup in 1998 by Alfa-Bank, major Russian commercial bank. Provides equipment, railway transport, aircraft for lease to companies.

Avialeasing takes the 4th place and in 2007 it was an absolute leader on TU-154 lease market sector.
